Hi, tried changing the front pads on my 07 DT, got the pads in but they won't go over the disc, been trying for nearly an hour but no luck, using EBC pads. Pads keep moving won't stay in place which is making it worse. some advice please.

you need the force the piston back into the caliper a little, isnt it obvious?

Tried that, forced it all the way back.

so is there gap between the pads that's big enough to accomodate the disk?

When they're split yes, but however much I try to keep the pads split they move, tried keeping them split while trying to get the caliper on but not enough room to hold a flathead screwdriver inbetween the fork legs or the spokes to keep the pads split while trying to get the caliper on. Might try doing it with the wheel off tomorrow. Never done pads before so I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this. Although it's supposed to be simple as f#ck. Feeling like a right twat ;/

you might find it easier if you have the caliper mounted loosely on the bottom mounting bolt
