Hi guys, I've been riding motorcycles since 2001, I've always loved Japanese bikes and had several of them in the past, always fuel injection so endless to say I never had to do any work on them and therefore don't really know the mechanics of it.

I just bought a 1977 Yamaha xs400 which was restored. I did notice that once the bike is warm and on idle it tends to die (about 1500 rpm). If I choke it sometimes dies and sometimes goes to 3500rpm. Should I adjust the idle??? Or maybe have the carb recleaned???

Anyways it is great to be here and be part of the club.
