aerox 50 rossi 06 wiring problem any help be great

Hi there am new to this so here goes I got an aerox 50 rossi 06 as a project had bike with no fairings and no head light got the parts and aftermarket head light put together getting it ready for the moto and noticed the lights were dim and lack off power as if it was running off the bat then would run out of spark till bat was chaged agen iv check the stator and is giving 13v out so thought it my be bad earth used the meter agen and all earths seem ok so then moved on to the regulator I ordered a new one looks the same cheap new one on ebay pluged it in and is fine when turn ignition on but soon as u kick it or use the stater n engine fires the fuse blows so ordered a new thinking my luck may be faulty one new one came and same agen blowing 10amp and 15amp fuses and also have done this with the headlight connected and discounted any help would be great so puzzled by it and thanks for reading

Hi jd" you have an open circuit some where, disconect different parts of loom , and try again till it stops blowing fuses , this may isolate the area where fault is..

WOW that is hard work reading.

Something connected to something its shouldn't. As above some sort of earth fault, by that I don't mean a bad earth. Something that should not be connected to earth is.

Time and a multimeter mixed with a stock of tea/coffee/cigs as required for this one.

Hi there thanks for the coms I have looked all over the loom and connectors and everything seems to be in order but one weird think was I used the meter on beep setting and got a positive reading from the negative to the positive and the did a test from the postive on the bat to the frame and the lights lit up :S so think its got to be. the rectifior

I revived my genuine regalater and replaced it and the fuse doesn't blow so the cheap ones on eBay (do not work) so that's sorted but still have the spark charge and lighting prob thow have had a new coil put on it to so get the meter out tomorrow and check everything agen
