rzresurection Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 No wrinkles/orange peeling going on. You might be seeing some case damage that I have on bottom half of the clutch section (right hand side of the picture). Got the top half of my case stripped. A little more cleaning and it'll be ready for painting.

rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Got my oil pump and water pump installed today. Broke the keeper clip for the oil pump gear clip. One more thing to buy.
rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 I replaced the JIS screws holding the oil pump to the case. I try to replace them any chance I can. I use stainless, socket head cap screws.
rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Thanks buddy. I slightly damaged the outside of the seal for the kicker. I got a little rammy. I should have used my aluminum drift. Instead I used a socket - which moved on me. Seal should be ok
rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 I stole the 'reflective black' vinyl idea from Felix. My bike will be gloss black and I'll do a combo of reflective black and white decals. I am going to put reflective black YAMAHA on the tank along with a raised yamaha badge. I put a white decal beside the badge to give an idea of what it'll look like.
feliks Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Imitation is the finest form of flattery. Should look pretty sweet!!
rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Bottom case all taped. Got my respirator on and shaking the can
feliks Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Wooo get that shit ready! Springtime is almost here!
rzresurection Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 2 coats of primer now applied to the top case. I've removed the shift drum and forks from the bottom case half. I'm boiling the front half in rad fluid to remove all the gunk
rzresurection Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Got the lights mounted on a crappy pc of aluminum - for now. I don't have decent aluminum stock laying around that I can make proper stuff outta. I just want to figure out a decent mounting method.
rzresurection Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 One more task down. Have to test them now.
rzresurection Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 They do look like they belong! I like it. Gonna try to put in my battery and test these this weekend and make sure all is ok. Finished painting and unmasking my upper case.
Noise Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Looking quality mate. Those lights look the business!!
rzresurection Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Thanks Noise. I wanted something really bright for the rear indicators. Felix told me about them. I thought they might be big for the back end, bit looks like they just fit. The style seems to work well also. Hopefully I won't be getting rear ended by a soccer mom with these bad boys.
Noise Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Yer they fit really well, will look even better once the rear plastic is on them.
