fawzi963
I was thinking about adding a carby air filter, is it worth it? Better in terms of looks and breathing for the engine. If yes, whats the optimum jetting and what size is the stock factory carb? Thanks in advance
Moderator Airhead Posted February 11, 2014 Moderator Share Posted February 11, 2014 The best filter is the one the factory fitted fawz, leave it stock
Moderator Cynic Posted February 12, 2014 Moderator Share Posted February 12, 2014 +1 No performace benefit at all, just losses as well as needing to find something to fit the, cdi, battery to as well as fabing a mud shield. That airbox does quite a bit.
blackhat250
Also jetting up a two stroke for no good reason will just bog under W.O.T. . The race guys in the 1980/90s tried to run as lean as possible - without seizure , thats where max power is, kinda like " when you run out of fuel with the chainsaw, the revs peak [ lean - no fuel and virtually all air.] thats the high revs the 2 stroke racers are aiming for, without the seize..
