I have a 1998 DT 125 R its a good runner and starts no prob, but in 1st gear it makes a nockin noise, it almost sounds like its under tention, but when you go into second or any other gear it runs as sweet as a nut.

Can anyone help with a poss problem ??

Hi mate sounds like a gearbox strip to me..

a tooth or dog gear knackered but strip to find

out more and shouldn't be to hard a job!!!!!

Thanks, i have a new set of gears to put in, will be a first for me will keep my fingers crossed most likely to have 6 reverse gears after i try.
