Moderator Airhead Posted January 5, 2014 Moderator Posted January 5, 2014 sounds like either you have an air leak somewhere or The throttle slide isnt closing properly
dt502001 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 turn the slide around sounds like you have it in backwards
Hitchen187 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Do you mean by throttle slide the end of the rev cable because thats seated fully in the carb and is it possible put reed valves in upside down
Hitchen187 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 The inlet manifold is tight on the carb could the seal between the reed valve, engine and inlet cause this problem
Moderator Airhead Posted January 5, 2014 Moderator Posted January 5, 2014 the slide is inside of the carb, it's what lets air into the engine
Moderator Airhead Posted January 5, 2014 Moderator Posted January 5, 2014 The inlet manifold is tight on the carb could the seal between the reed valve, engine and inlet cause this problem all seals have to be good ones or you'll have an air leak
Hitchen187 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Is that the block that has a spring above it that screws into carb and moves up and down when you twist throttle
Hitchen187 Posted January 5, 2014 Author Posted January 5, 2014 Iv only had inlet side apart on bike so ill check them is it possible to fit reed valve upside down
blackhat250 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Is that the block that has a spring above it that screws into carb and moves up and down when you twist throttle Yeh the slide " and there shud be a rubber gasket on the carb top ,
