Ok thankyou neo will try that,I am waiting for a Hayes manual for my bike but no sign of it yet.I'm wanting to get to my bulb,but I am unsure how to get to it would you know by any chance Yamaha RSS 100

To get at the bulb Blackhat offered you a solution in the 4th post..

Once the screw is undone either prise the rim as suggested or you may need to turn the headlamp anticlockwise by hand to 'unlock it'.

It should become apparent once you've located the screw........

from what Ive found there may be a bolt in the bottom of the healight rim, take out the bolt and prise out the rim from the bottom and it will drop down from a locating peg at the top centre...it may be different but see how you go
