December 17, 201311 yr Author Hi airhead.yes gear leverand the seround case by stator.also case where my clutch cable goes into to get to the varator nut.
December 17, 201311 yr Moderator what's a verator nut? cant think why you cannot select gears though, what none at all?
December 17, 201311 yr Author I took everything off to expose the nut to take off.the nut that keeps the front sproket on.when i put it all back and the gear lever nothing,my bike was stuck in gear and could not shift up or down.

December 18, 201311 yr Author I've not done that airhead,at the monent it is in neutral.so i will put gear shift back on select 1st gear if i can.if not rock back and forth.will this inline my gears back to normal 1 down 4 up.thanks
December 18, 201311 yr Moderator it is not possible to select gears when the engine is stopped without rocking the bike back and forth

December 18, 201311 yr Moderator just make sure the lever doent hit the frame or the engine casing when you move it

December 18, 201311 yr Author Airhead and dt rich.thanks for your help,i did what you said rich took 3 attemps but all sorted now thankyou.
December 18, 201311 yr Normally there is a mark on the splined shaft that needs to line up with the split in the lever Ride it for a couple of days, if its still good, then mark the end of the shaft with a centre pop, where it lines up with the split. That wont wash off
