Hi guys, I am after abit of advice as to where I can source a new set of spokes and nipples for my wheels..
I have a 2006 Yamaha DT 125x supermoto that my spokes have corroded on, I am getting my wheels powdercoated and want the spokes changing too.
Just a simple gloss black set of spokes and nipples, does anybody have any ideas where I can get them from?

you can buy spokes from a yamaha dealer, for example Silvesters will send them to you, you'd have to paint them though, they will be standard zinc plated

And ok, so if I wanted them black I'd either have to get them and the nipples painted or powder coated before I get the wheels re spoked?

yes, I wouldnt paint or coat the nipples myself...it may get damaged when building the wheel.

Take photos before you strip out the old spokes and also take measurements for the rim/hub offset

Mask the spoke thread before painting

Hmm i'll have to try and source some black nipples from somewhere then.. surely there has to be a place that I could buy a set of spokes and nipples from that are anodised or something?

I suppose I could try contacting some MX companies that build custom wheels and give them the dimensions of my spokes to see if they would have anything to match or if they could make some up? (providing I could get the dimensions )
