Hi guys

Has anyone fitted a tomtom rider v5 to a xvs950? Im going to attempt it myself and was looking for any tips please.

Nope, but have fitted a Rider V2 to an XVS650...

The included mounting kit from Ram Mount did not fit. I had to order a slightly different one.

Mount it so you can see the screen without having to move your head at all, if possible. It will take a little getting used to, so when the voice in your head says to take the exit and you're banked over on a roundabout, you can flick your eyes down to the screen and make sure your view matches the map. Generally you shouldn't need to take your eyes off the road, but it can occasionally help to look as well.
