Posted October 20, 201311 yr I have a 2009 YBR125, which I have ridden for the last 2 years or so. Yesterday I had a bike to ground interface, which resulted in a need for a replacement front mudguard (easy and cheap) and instrument console - the back casing is mashed and the glass on the speedo has broken. Now... BrooksBarns have a speedo for a 2005/6 YBR on their site for about £34. Looking on the Yamaha parts finder it would appear that some of the internals have different part codes than for the 2007-2009 model, but are they still compatible? I have seen kph ones on fleabay for around £45 but I would rather have one that is in mph for obvious reasons. Unfortunately from what I can see the price of a console via Yamaha would appear to be about £150, which is quite a chink above what I was hoping to/can afford to pay... Does anyone a ) know a source for one of these and b ) confirm that it's a relatively easy thing to swap out with the assistance of Mr Haynes?
