normaly a buck is made, that's how they made the bubble canopies for the ww2 aircraft, heat up the sheet and quickly put around the buck.

Thanks buddy!! I searched high and low until I found the perfect tail light... I like how the dual round look matches the headlights. Everything's gotta flow!!

I started making modifcations to the back chassis to attach the tail light, and then mocked up a bracket with some cardboard, which I'm going to take over to the local sheet metal place to get cut, or cut myself, depending on how much they want for the job....then I'll get the bracket welded up on the back (or bolted for now) and paint it all up a nice gloss black.

haha oh yeah, anything that works! :D I took my prototype down to the sheet metal place today, they're going to make it up for me for $50 including the material...not bad I'd say!

What type of metal? If they use galvy you wont be able to weld it on.

Just plain 1/16 steel, I figured I'd be painting it black anyway. I might just end up bolting it on anyway, we'll see how it turns out with the tabs I made and how good of a job they do with my prototype.

I'd just bolt it on. You might want to remove it at some point. If you want it permanently mounted later on, bring it by and I'll weld it on for you.

Great what a little bit of card can turn into. Get on and paint it and get it on the bike.

Ok bracket prepped and ready for paint! Going with VHT self priming roll bar and chassis paint, same stuff I used on the rear chassis which it's going to connect to.

I know it's not going to be seen but are you going to rub it down with some wet and dry to get rid of the fat ass syndrome? Its just I see you got some orange peel gong on

No. It's an underbody chassis part, not a finished body piece.... it blends in perfectly with the chassis paint. :D

Everything is mounted up now!
