right i went through everything and anything and i came to the cnoclusion the most practical and one i like bike to buy would be the yamaha virago 125 one i'm thinking of buying looks like this

ebay_20stuff_20001.jpg

now it has no mot but the guy said it should passs no problem so i'v asked him to do it and i'll pay the excess

it's a 2001 y reg 125 with 9k milage just needs a clutch cable ooo and the starter motor is tempermental

how much should i offer him?

and can someone explain to me why when i look this up it only has a top speed of 62mph!!! i mean thats fine cos i'm just gonna use it to go to work up in london which i don't think i'll hit 30 in, but is that right or can they be tweaked a little? heres the link i saw it on

Me know nothing about these so can't tell you much, but the Used Bike Guide says...

"..good for town work and the little legged, better styling than the dull SR, but slow."

They list a top speed of 70 mph so that is about right. They price from £1550 for a C1 condition bike down to £850 for a C3 condition.

Very practical ride!.....Make a great commuter ;)

The carbs are interesting (semi-down draft)...but are easily serviceable :)

Pretty reliable from what I've heard B)
