eeden01
Hi guys all most done with my TZR 50 frame RZ 125 motor project. took is out for a test ride but find its topping out to quick, running a 16 front and 47 rear sproket. Any recomendations where to go with the ratio to help with some topend? Thanks Gents!

blackhat250
Is there room for a 17 tooth front,[ fouling clutch actuator or casings] , ,either that or drop 2 on the rear,,,, heard you searching for more gears,,,
Moderator Cynic Posted September 19, 2013 Moderator Share Posted September 19, 2013 Depends what you mean by topping out too quick. 47 teeth on the rear is a lot for a road bike. 16 on the front is hardly small. If you have the internal ratios of the gearbox and primary drive with a bit of math you can calculate you speeds @ peak rpm for each gear and choose your preference. With this engine in a 50 all the std geari.g is pointless.
