so basically i hate my job. Currently working for WGPSN Aberdeen, in office as an apprentice Project Controls Engineer (Costing, estimating, planning etc) i have realised that this is not what i want to do, and despite being promised other opertunities within the company, anyhing is yet to materialise.

was speaking to my manager about it and he was saying that during the shutdown period, the contract i am on takes on "greenhats" for extra support - and mentioned that it may be a possibility for me to do this.

been looking at doing ether a Stage 1 Rigger course, or Banksman slinger ect, so i have some usefull skills/quilifications to actually get off.

Anyone got any advice on where to look for a permanet training position, apprenticeship/trainee scheme etc?

ideally would like to go offshore as a mechanical Technician.

thainks
