Ok so it all sounds so simple, just look in the little window, except Yamaha have decided to put a bloody exhaust pipe in front of it, other than removing said exhaust pipe how do you check the level, I have tried moving about under it but I still cant see. Any Ideas please?

Just shine a torch at the window. Dont forget the bike needs to be level, get a mate/girlfriend/boyfriend/wife etc to sit on it. DONT OVERFILL, half way up the window, no more than that

If you are doing an oil change and are unable to see the oil level through the window,

you should measure the oil as you put it in just use a measuring jug.

You just need to find out the amount of oil your bike needs.

thanks for the replies chaps, the torch tip worked a treat, all topped up and ready to go. Cheers, Gary
