Posted June 21, 201312 yr I have a 1988 Yamaha DT 50 that I got from my dad. I got it starting and all, but I need to get the carbs factory settings for the jets to get the bike running smoothly. Please if someone could help me you'd be a star. I don't have any kind of manual for the bike. Please help me
June 21, 201312 yr The carb probably hasnt been tampered with so take note of the setting as they are now as dads dont tend to move stuff. The carb probably will need cleaning out to make it work correctly.
June 21, 201312 yr Welcome 96" as he says take out the pilot jet, clean it till all holes are clear, the carb bottom will have a well with small hole in bottom, this feeds the choke jet, blast it thru with carb clean, .air screw will be 1.5 turns out,
