donaldremnant
i have a yamaha 1979 rs200 that refuses to run on its right hand cylinder. two sets of new points have been fitted with condensers. timing checked, new plugs, head & cylinder removed, good rings, good barrel, gaskets renewed, good spark, only single carb, no reeds, left cyl runs fine. i am at a lost to what can be the problem & the cure, HELP, HELP. DON REMNANT.
busyeddie
Exhaust on tight to the head? Collar to silencer tight? Baffle in? Clean baffle? Twisted crank? Short reach plugs? Sorry mate. I.had the same. Loose exhaust meant it was just fouling the plugs.
Moderator Airhead Posted June 23, 2013 Moderator Share Posted June 23, 2013 is it fouling the RH plug...ie possible crank seal failure?
busyeddie
Yep thats a possibility too... Mines running heaps better since I tightened the collar. Did over 300 miles this weekend.
