My new piston kit finally arrived from Yambits after 3 weeks waiting. Going to install with a mechanic friend tomorrow. Its a 0.5mm upsize kit. I bought the bike rebored with new piston kit fitted, but top ring was broken. I have been reading of rings breaking due to ports not chamfered after reboring. Not sure if this is what happened here.
DT175G 1980 model 4L9 serial.
Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of when doing this installation?

the rings ar both different, the bottom one os parallel and the top one is a 'keystone' section...be sure to fit the right...there us a cutout at the edge of each ring to go around the peg

Pack the crankcase with rags until you have the gugeon pin (wrist pin) clips fitted, just in case you drop one. Maybe even place the gugeon pin in the freezer for a while to shrink it to aid fitting

Put one clip in on the bench too. Reduce the odds.
