Yamaha model codes/vin number

Hi all,

I've tried looking at the VIN link at the top of the forum but it doesn't seem to work. I have a year 2000 Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat and am trying to find out the colour code for the cherry red paint scheme as I need some paint for touch up parts and to spray a new front mudguard. Ive searched the tinternet for explanations of the model codes but am unsure if this is within the VIN number or is it somewhere else on the bikes frame and once I find it, what part of the code relates to the colour? Really hope someone understands all that and can help me with it, thanks, Andy
