neversosure Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Hello I am new here! I have a 94' xt225 Serow and I have a problem and I need help! I have no spark! I only have 1 spark when I first hit the starter button, then after it cranks the spark goes away! I just got the bike a few days ago and I really like it for running around town. I went to the local bike shop for a manual but no luck, they said doesn't look as if there is one for it. But anyway, I need to know what possibly could be the problem? Like I said earlier I get 1 spark when I first hit the starter button then nothing after it starts cranking!!!! HElP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matt Update***************************** I just removed the cover, On the flywheel there are "magnets" about 1 inch in width, then there are "fingers" in between the "magnets". Some of the "fingers" are moveable, some are not. Would that constitute a bad flywheel? I have been trying to figure this out all night! I also tested the pulser pickup, that checked out fine within the ohms specs 656-894. But the magneto coil resistance was not there I had nothing on the brown and green leads, I did however have 24 ohms on the yellow and ground leads. If there is a Yamaha mechanic or a knowledgeable person that can answer these questions I really would be grateful!!!! Thanx again!!!

Thanx again!!! the magnets should have a air gap and cleary this stops when your engine turns as magnets are not fixed as they should be, so scrap the flywheel and obtain another one from a breaker.
