wooddav3
Hello everyone, I am new to motor bikes and have no idea what is going on with my bike. My bike is spitting oil out of the exhaust pipe and at the top of the pipe where it connects to the engine (as well as white smoke!), this is following adding oil to the crank box. Hope someone can help, this happens every time i add oil to the crank box like it needs. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=f2lp8x" target="_blank"><img src="http://i40.tinypic.com/f2lp8x.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=21enls4" target="_blank"><img src="http://i43.tinypic.com/21enls4.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=2uggzyb" target="_blank"><img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/2uggzyb.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a>
Tommy xs
this is my take on this! for more info read thread in general forum (new members asking questions with out an introduction) I wouldn't go so far as to say I get pissed off In fact sometime's its Quite funny and often it's an honest mistake, I know when I first joined YOC my intro wasn't great. I found the (start a new topic button) but thought starting a new topic isn't saying hello. I think its quite confusing when your new, if there was a button that said (say hello here) it would be much simpler and we wouldn't see nearly so many questions in the new members area I know i'm guilty of being sarcastic to new members who may have made an honest mistake. please don't take offence by this reply! just start again, do an introduction a few lines about you & your interest is all it needs you will get a much better response and realize what a brilliant site this is. Then post your question's in the relevant forum,(workshop forum in your case) The more you put into this site the more you get out.
Moderator Cynic Posted May 20, 2013 Moderator Share Posted May 20, 2013 Sounds like a crank seal. Well more specificaly the rh crank seal but if one has gone the other is likely. If your new to bikes you may want to consider getting someone to do it for you. You may want to take the engine out yourself and get the seals done by others as any parts for that engine may be rare, expensive or both.
