How to clean Matte Paintwork?

So I'm getting a 2013 Fazer 8 and it's coming in Matte Grey.

Has anyone any experience on if/how you should clean this paintwork?

Part of me thinks you shouldn't polish it due to matte not supposed to have any shine, but thought I'd ask...

If you don't want it to shine then SOAP & WATER is all you can do. :jossun:

I used WD40 on my Matte black paint, it was shiny for a while but was nice and clean after.

I've never had a matte finish paint, but baby wipes are brilliant at getting fly's guts and and road tar off and they are gentle especially if you use the non fragrant type!
