Iv got a 1985 dr600 When its warmed up and I throttle off, the revs take a while to drop to tick over stripped and cleaned the carb but its still doing it, any ideas, (its a Mikuni carb)

start with the easy stuff, is the throttle cable moving like it should and is the slide moving freely in the carb?

Sounds like air leak, :eusa_think: hows the rubber joints,,,

Check the filter screens, theres no doubt one on the petcock (may be inside the tank)...There may also be one in the carb (may be in the float needle valve)

It may also be as blackhat said, thats an easy find...just spray WD40 around the intake when it's idling too fast...see if there's a change
