sparky67
Hi all i bought a new spark plug for my DT the yamaha bible say the gap should be 0.7 - 0.8 but when i got the feeler gauge out it looks very very thin.Would the NGK BR8ES be pre gapped cause that is a lot bigger gap roughly the same size as the old one i took out. Should i gap it to the bible or would that be to smaller gap can anyone help on this one many thanks sparky67
Moderator Airhead Posted April 27, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 27, 2013 You're looking at the wrong feeler then sparky, they are usually set about right
sparky67
It`s been many years sine i used a feeler gauge defiantly says 0.7-0.8 mm in the yammy bible and its a new feeler gauge even the imperial was the same also, she went a bit better still lost power at about 55mph but not as bad as previous recent outings might get the carb cleaned what u reckon cheers sparky67
