Just a question to see how many kicks it takes, how long it takes to warm up and how does it ride. Do you guys like your DT?

Strange question.

For what its worth both of mine go within 2 or 3 kicks from cold and first swing when warm.

You can start the 250 with your hand on the kickstart. Not reccomended on the 175. Prob break your wrist.

Seeing as i have had my dt over 20 years its prob ok.

From cold (on a morning) 2 soft kicks with choke idle for less than 5 mins on choke

Warm day 1 soft kick with a little choke, idle with choke for less than 2 mins

I too can also start mine with my hand but I punched the footrest with no gloves on one day so I don't do that no more lol

My DT 125 RE electric start does 5 seconds first try and another 5 seconds and starts on the choke cold,choke for 5 minutes and choke off.

When warm it starts first time no choke

I love it to death apart from losing power everynow again and now sparks coming from exhaust for a short period
