feliz
Hi, new to the forum and new to 2 strokes. I just purchased a 1972 DS7 which has the autolube disconnected. I believe originally the fuel/oil ratio was 20-1 but I'm wondering what would it be with the new oils, especially the synthetic oils? Some of the new oils state on the container that they should be mixed at 100-1 in any engine. Any advice? As far as classics I also own a 75 XS650 and a 82 SR250. I should add that the injector pump came along with the bike, it's been stored in a bag since the bike was new, is it difficult to install? Thanks. Moderator Airhead Posted April 14, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 14, 2013 i'd have a go at getting the pump back on and working myself, premix as a last resort
Preload
A lot RD people that use premix are about 30-1. But as long as you have all the parts I would refit the pump for road use as you will get less plug fouling and its fairly easy to fit.
