So I got my Dt175 Running and went out on the streets for the first time ever. Taking it slow here.

One thing I found, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, when I have been riding around and stop the bike for a short time, ie getting gas, it's then hard to start. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong or is this something normal? I stalled out a couple times practicing stop and goes on a hill and it would start right back up, but If I stopped the bike for couple minutes it's a hard start.

I would say it's normal just a bit of vaporing/rich try opening the throttle a bit.

Could I turn the fuel cutoff to off before I stop it? Would that assist or hinder? Just thinking if I shut it off and it thinks it rich. I could starve it alittle then before I shut it off.

Nah, switch off, then fuel tap off

Is it a vac operated fuel tap?

Pretty sure its not, just the petcock off the tank with a tube to the carb. Nothing fancy.

I think this has also answered my post as I am having the same issue on my SR125! Glad it's normal and pointing at a knackered bike!
