Posted April 3, 201312 yr I was out on my moped then suddenly the engine cut out. I got it started again but it cut again. While it is running it struggles to reach 30mph when usually it gets up to 50 mph plus. Anyone know what could be the problem.
April 3, 201312 yr Author Yea mate got half a tank. Dont think it's fuel as it has lack of power and speed.
April 3, 201312 yr blocked fuel filter???? restricting fuel flow, and blocking up so scoot dies. did it just cut out or did it splutter and die?
April 3, 201312 yr First thing to do would be pull the spark plug and see what coulor it is. And pop in a new one,and check the air filter
April 3, 201312 yr Author iv checked the fuel line from the tank to the carb and its all going through well. I think they may be a problem with the fuel going through the carb. As when I leave if for an hour or 2 , its start and dive fine for about 10mins .I think this is because it has had time to soak through. anyone know where to go from here ?
April 3, 201312 yr Moderator try undoing and re-fitting the filler cap next time it happens, prhaps the fuel tank isnt venting properly
