bayly
Hi All I'm working on a project to fix a yamaha diversion XJ600 1994 but have stupidly but cheaply bought a 1998 engine with hardly any mileage on it. Is there anything I salvage off the old 1994 model, everything else was working fine just had to replace the engine (bearing on drive shaft exploded into the engine). I realize that I need to change the carbs, oil cooler, fuel pump and throttle position sensor , just wondering if I need to change the air box, starter motor and any of the electrics ? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

That said it should be a straight swap, just don't pitch the old motor, untill the new is in and all pluged in.
