Posted March 20, 201312 yr Evening, everybody. My name is Wayne and I'm from South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford in Essex. I have to admit, that at this moment in time, I'm between bikes, and don't own a Yamaha.....Yet. However, I'm hoping to purchase a 2012 R1 in a few weeks, after trashing my ZX10R @ 20mph!!! Long story...... So, I am hoping for some helpful advice on buying my 1st Yamaha bike, and so decided to join this bustling forum to do some reading and research on what the R1 is like to live with as a Road Only bike, and ask your opinions on parts and anything else that I can think of.
