I have aquired a V reg xj600 as a project bike but unfortunately the previous owner has cut off the rear of the frame ( I think he was intending to build a street fighter).

Will the frame from an earlier model fit the bike or did they change frames from year to year? Any help or information will be appreciated.

from what i can remember, they changed from the XJ (pre-diversion) around 92/93, then it was the XJ600N and XJ600S (or the other way around, cant remember which one came first), best thing to do is find a donor bike that is as close to your bikes year as possible, cross-examine as many parts as you can to determine if your bike is the same
