Posted September 7, 200519 yr I think it's fairly well known that I'm a big fan of Yamaha...both their products and the company itself. In many ways they're the least conventional, and the most innovative of the big four Japanese manufacturers. And in one particular area they stand head and shoulders above the rest...and that's customer service. They stand behind everything they produce...and to them, the customer is king! Example? Check out this service bulletin.... I had the XT serviced last Friday and it was recognised that my model number stands within the range of possible duff ECU's. So the dealer ordered the part, it arrived today, and gets fitted Monday....all covered by warranty. It was barely noticeable that there was a problem, but as far as Yamaha are concerned you get a new one....no questions asked. Pity some other manufacturers don't conduct themselves in the same manner.
