I've got a Yamaha Jog RR air cooled and I've put an sports air filter on the standard carb I have adjusted the mixture and now have got the throttle to respond but I cannot go full throttle as it feels like there is no power can anybody shed some light on my porblem.

It's probably lean at wide throttle openings, could result in a holed piston.

you should fit a bigger main jet and did you oil the filter slightly ?

thanks there's a 62 main jet in the carb as standard and yes oiled the filter and was working fine until you tried full throttle.

so just try a quick on/off with the choke how does that affect it with regards to the full throttle problem?
