Hi Everyone,

Just found the forum and thought I'd post - I have just aquired a 1989 FZR600 US Model after a 5 yr lay off from bikes (usual story- kids, house etc), and I could do with any tips, info etc regarding this model.

One thing I have noticed is my model has a square shaped red button between the speedo & rev counter - Pressing it appears to do nothing at all. Does anyone know what it is or what its supposed to do?? (The Haynes manual doesnt mention it as far as I can see)

Cheers

Must Be Aftermarket buddy, trace the wiring, does it go to the harness?

Hello and :welcome:

The switch could be for the reserve in the tank. You'll find out when you run out of fuel (like I did once )
