there is a cb400 on ebay with a 33bhp restrictor on it. can they sell it like that? i thought the certificate was for the rider as well as the bike?..so if i brought it i would have to have it restricted again right??..

from what i can remember the certificate is for the bike, the rider is restricted as part of their licence terms anyway (for 2 years or until they are 21) and it will most likely be in your insurance small print

Not as far as i know, you cant really re-restrict it because the restrictors will already be in place

Your licence restricts you to 33bhp, the bike is restricted to 33bhp, that's all that matters. The bit of paper is worth exactly feck all, even MCN got it right (and that's saying something!) - Clicky Linky Thing.

Buy it, ride it, when your two years are up whip the restrictors out and revel in the awesome power!
