Check for power on the small wire (when button is pushed) at the solenoid if you have power then it's pmf if not then check at the button for power if you have power coming to the button then the button is pmf

Iv'e had this problem twice on my 600 Divvy, both different solutions.

  1. When you press starter button ant there is no click of solenoid and oil warning light comes on. On the divvy the wire from starter button goes to a block connector situated under the seat, the end of the wire going into connector was corroded and loose.
  2. The second time after pressing button there was a loud click. One of the brushes in the starter motor had stuck open. Freed it up and cleaned it and has been fine since.

I hope this helps

Mike
