Posted December 12, 201212 yr Hi there peeps i have been hoarding parts for my DT50MX project for a few months now but there is one part that no breaker seems to have and appear to more rare than rocking horse sh*t made of unobtanium with hens teeth in it. It is the rear light bracket/assembly, which also holds the number plate, i have bought a universal stop/tail light for the time being but it would require new mounting holes to be drilled in the rear mudguard and bracket and is not the original part which sort of defies the whole point of this project in addition to requiring a self-fabricated number plate mount. is there a way that i can find the part number, and find out which other models (if any) use the same part? the DT100/125/175 rear lights look almost identical but i cannot tell for sure. any help appreciated peeps, i have now started taking it apart, sanding down the parts in preperation for a rebuild inbetween various bits and bobs on the Turbo Foameh

December 13, 201212 yr Author Thanks for the links peeps, but it seems that the one on the megazip site is a different variant from that fitted to the UK model, and without pics i cannot guarantee that it is the right one :/ there must be a solution here somewhere...
December 13, 201212 yr Here is the 50 cc engine from my dt R, wich is swaped with dt 80 LC. Are the same engine?
December 13, 201212 yr ask a yamaha dealer for a price and part number foamy +1 I'm on my phone and can't tell what year your DT is, but have you tried the schematics on powersportsplus.com? At least to get a part number maybe. The bracket looks just like mine except where the light assembly mounts. Not that it helps, but my DT has the round taillight (437-84551-61-20; http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/search/Yamaha/Motorcycle/1976/DT175C/TAILLIGHT/parts.html) and it goes on a few models (http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-437-84551-61-20.html)... So you can probably rule those models out. ??

December 13, 201212 yr Ok yamaha list it as 2 parts 1 for the lense and i for the bracket both no longer avaible and no superceed # but here are the part #'s from my yam dealer Lens # 1m1-84510-60-00 bracket 38k-21685-00-00 5min on the phone done!

December 19, 201212 yr Author Well i nipped into my local yam dealer, and it is 5J0-84551-20-33, they are about £50 from europe assuming the CMSL website actually does have them in stock, may try a few breakers methink :/
