Hey All!

Been prowling the Yamaha/Vintage sites for years now. Diving in now. Not brand new to the Moto world but close enough. Had a '80 Suzuki GSX ~5 years that was put to rest after a Montero did some cosmetic alteration to it - without my permission (or serious injury thank God). Took a few years off, but love it too much. I love to ride and love to fix things even more.

Thus, my love for vintage. I am female about 5'8" so not the size of most of you guys and wanted a bike that I could manipulate easily. So I got 2! Both fixer-uppers (just how I like them):

1968 Yamaha YG5T 80cc Trailmaster

1968 Yamaha L2 100cc Trailmaster

I debated a scooter, but prefer the look and feel of a real bike. I am an avid freeway-avoider on bikes, 250cc+ are not necessary; city to-and-from is all I need. These are perfect. In any case, thanks for your knowledge thus far. I have successfully done most standard projects on the bikes with the exception of 'cracking the cases' and re-boring the cylinder. I now know my way around a bike and hope to keep the quest going. I guess that's the point of these forums, eh?

Thanks for having me!

Allison
