Posted November 10, 201212 yr I have a 2003 vstar 650 custom.The carb was just rebuilt because it sat for about 18 months without being run. I have replaced the fuel filter oil and plugs....it started and idled fairly well responds to the throttle ok but when I put it in gear the idle increases to an extremely high level....actually can do about 20 mph in 1st gear with no throttle if i shift to neutral it drops right back......what the heck is going on??
