Posted November 10, 201212 yr Hi All Just going through registration of my old RD250DX in Dubai, just air freighted out from UK. Hoping to get a little less smokey before I have to register at RTA. Not many old two strokes seen aroundfout here. Any tips on getting the mix right to get less of a smokey trail? Cheers.
November 10, 201212 yr Moderator they all smoke and smoke a lot more until the engine is warmed up The pump will deliver a metered quantity, this isnt really adjustable...is it an issue there then? :greetings and
November 10, 201212 yr Welcome aboard you could go pre mix with a full synthetic oil some can be mixed out to 100:1 also shimming the pump to stroke less will make it smoke less.
November 10, 201212 yr Welcome Can77" give her a good thrashing b4 you go for test, and DT50 is right about fully synthetics ,, i kno trial bikes at 80/1 ratio....
