Posted November 7, 201212 yr i want to know is there another engine i can use in this frame as i cannot find a yamaha dragstar xvs 125 or 250 engine can anyone help thanks look forward to hearing from any of you bike lovers
November 7, 201212 yr Moderator to the forum Johntara.... seems like the only plausable motor selection is what you're already after with the XVS 125/250 ....as they will be the correct fit for the frame/chassis. Bad Motor issues, I take it?
November 8, 201212 yr Author its noise from bottom of engine i have been told the bottom end has gone but i cant find any to replace it or even a workshop manual on it can anyone help
November 8, 201212 yr Dragstar engines are quite hard to come by, I'm afraid, especially at sensible prices. It takes a fair bit to knacker these things.
February 21, 201312 yr Author ok thankyou found a 250 engine will it fit straight in do i have to change anything
February 22, 201312 yr I understand you'd be in for quite a lot of fiddling, alignment issues and so forth.
