I have a 1972 Yamaha 360 RT2. When I was taking the motor apart there were metal peaces falling out of it and i cant find where they go. So I'm coming to the conclusion that the motor is toasted. I don't think it helps that is been siting for close to 12 years in a barn. And when it was park the guy i got it from said it was acting weird.. So I was wondering if anyone had a spear motor they would like to sell for a descent price and lives in Michigan. Or can I just put any kind / style of motor in it??? thanks for your help

Was this parts, or pieces of parts? Which part of the motor did they come from, the cylinder or the transmission? Lots of spares on ebay at any given time, from parts to complete motors. 72 or 73 will work, along with some parts from the DT2 and DT3.
