Posted September 16, 201212 yr Which would be better for increased acceleration 11 or 17 tooth front sprocket, Or would the standard 14 tooth front sprocket be just near the same? Rear sprocket is 48 tooth.
September 16, 201212 yr Hi, before anyone will respond to your question you will need to write an intro in the relevant section. People see it as bad manners if you don't.
September 16, 201212 yr Author Hi, have posted one now didn't notice the newbie thread comes in handy for letting people know the whole story.
September 19, 201212 yr Hi i'm nit exactly sure but i think the more teeth that are on the front sprocket the faster the acceleration will be. I have a 2006 XT 125 X, great little bikes.
September 23, 201212 yr More teeth will result in a higher acceleration and a little more top speed, but expect to be dropping down the gears more as you loose torque. Don't expect it to be climbing hills like it used to!
