Posted September 15, 201212 yr Hi there, i'm thinking of installing a HID kit to my TRX. The headlight is quite poor and this kit would make me more visible to other drivers. Has anyone out there installed a kit on their TRX and can it be done successfully. Can anyone help. Cheers Steve.
September 15, 201212 yr Hi Steve the only thing I can tell you is that the HID lights run very hot and melt plastic head lamps. GE and sylvania make a super white light that are @ 50% brighter and don't melt plastic lamps.
September 15, 201212 yr Just be careful and check mot standard as I know if you fit an HID kit to a car and it doesn't have self leveling and headlight washers it will fail.
September 16, 201212 yr Author Thanks for your response fellas, my headlight lens is glass,I will enquire with the seller of HID Whether it will suit. I have seen the kit on other bikes and the light output is incredible. thanks again.
