Well, I've been off my XT for a month now.....& I'll be the 1st to say: It's Drivin' Me MAD! :P

I've done a full electrical check on my XT550 after it quit for no appearant reason whilst getting on the Freeway on the way to work one Friday morning........after scratching my head alot, I decided to call a Bike Mechanic friend of mine who actually likes electrical challenges! We checked all the voltages on the signal coils down @ the crank which were fine.....So we then came to the conclusion that the Primary coil right above the motor, was possibly the culprit........2 weeks & $90 later.....it wasn't! .......So now I'm faced with replacing the only possible culprit left in the No-Spark equation.....the CDI box......which I just ordered for $320! ....the dealer price on this item is well over $350, but I found a good source online for OEM factory parts.....HERE!

So far, this has turned out to be real pain in the ass........

But with any luck @ all, My XT will be good to go for quite awhile, once the CDI shows up @ my door. ;)B)
