Has anyone ever experienced a mis/backfire and done all the usual, carb clean, replace plug, etc, but nothing changed, the fault was still there.

I have read in some forums, of this, and the fault turned out to be the CDI unit. Could this be true and if so any ideas of where its best to look for a CDI for an M plate SR 125 unit. My unit is an early model with 2 * 4 way connectors. The ones I see on e-bay are 1 * 6 & 1 * 2 way connectors.

Any help greatly apprciated.
