Hi

I recently changed the oil on my 2001 newly purchased TMAX500.

I looked in the manual and filled it with almost 3 litres of oil as recommended in the manual. however, although I am happy there is the correct amount of oil in now, I cannot use the oil check window as it is marked so badly you cannot see anything through it at all.

Without renewing the window, any tips as to how I can keep an eye on level? eg dip stick ?

Thanks

Hi There id say your looking at the wrong window I had the same problem . When the bike is on the main stand theres something that looks like a oil window (same shape) but the sight window is actually behind the side stand ( as in you can't see window unless side stand is down out of the way of glass. Hope this helps Let me know how you get on . it should take 2.8 lts of oil without filter replacement

2.9 lts if you change oil filter .
