Posted July 19, 201212 yr Am rebuilding a pre divi XJ600. Not got the engine running yet, I am sorting out the loom and the electrics. What I need to know is should the oil light come on when you first switch the ignition on? or is it only when the oil level falls? I do not want to remove and check too much stuff if it is working correctly.Apart from the neutral light, is there any indication that the ignition is switched on? Phil
July 19, 201212 yr mines only comes on as i turn the engine over as soon as its running it goes off. only light is the nuetral light like you say to display ignition is on.
